A BFA in Film/Drama from Syracuse University gave Robyn the opportunity to experience multiple facets of the film and television industry, and led to a 10 year career, directing school productions and teaching drama to middle schoolers. A pivotal change for Robyn's career arrived in 2012, when she won the role of Marcie in a small production of YOU ARE A GOOD MAN CHARLIE BROWN. This stage experience inspired her to explore the performance side of the visual arts and pursue acting full time. Since then, Robyn has appeared in many principal and supporting roles in short and feature films, television productions, new media, theater, commercials, industrials, and VO spots. In 2013, Robyn co-founded Gladiolus Productions, LLC., which is now a two-women run production company (with her business partner, Kylie Hitchcock-Garcelon) that has already produced three award winning films - two shorts, GLUTENY and MORAL COMPASS and a feature, THE DOG WALKER, - an award-winning webseries, AUTO BOSS, and a TV comedy pilot, WELLNESS, INC. In 2019, Robyn won the award for BEST ACTRESS IN A DRAMATIC ROLE at the New Haven International Film Festival and was also nominated for BEST ACTRESS IN A FEATURE FILM at the NOVA International Film Festival, for her portrayal of the lead character, Samantha Jones in THE DOG WALKER, and in 2016, she was also awarded the BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS IN A DRAMA SHORT from the Atlantic City Cinefest for her role as Ashley Wainwright in MORAL COMPASS. Robyn has been studying her craft continuously for many years with prominent educators in the industry, most recently she has been a student of Matt Newton & Heidi Marshall in NY, Shari Shaw in LA, and Kyle Crand in MA), and she has also completed multiple levels of improv technique from UCB and The Magnet Theater. Robyn is so incredibly grateful for what she has been able to accomplish on this amazing journey so far and she can’t wait to see what the future brings!
